018 ~ [Action]

[The Malnosso weren't known for their kindness, and perhaps that's why Ion was returned to the village so far from House One. He was tired and all he wanted to do was curl up somewhere and sleep... which was something he was now very capable of doing seeing as he's been transformed into a soadoptable. Those little paws of his can only walk so fast, but he manages to make it halfway to House One from the plaza before he has to stop and rest. Finding a nice soft spot of grass to lay in, he curls up and sighs, hoping he doesn't fall asleep before he can make it back home...]

[Of course, assuming he does make it back to House One safe and sound, those living there can expect to hear tiny scratches and meowing at the door... and possibly a few windows if no one hears him.]


[[ooc: ION IS NOW A KITTEN. But he won't be forever! "Green" will turn him back to normal though with a pair of cat ears and a tail because I can, but saying "Ion" will make him go right back to being a kitten. And it won't quite be an instant transformation either, so figuring out what made him change should prove to be a bit difficult. He still has a tiny pair of green wings too, but the longer his identity stays a secret, the more fun it'll be. :'D]]

[Ion perks up his head when Grune sits down, though he doesn't make any attempt to get up. He's still so tired, after all... but he will at least meow in agreement. At least it wasn't raining today, right?]

[It wouldn't matter to Grune either way--she loves the rain as well as the sun.

She reaches out and starts gently putting Ion-kitty's fur.] Oh, my, you're very soft.

[And green, but Grune isn't going to find that remarkable. (Grune doesn't find anything remarkable.)]

[Ahh, the petting feels rather nice, especially given how sore he is from walking all this way. And so soon after being returned, too. After awhile, he'll even start to purr a little. D'awwww.]

[The purring earns an even bigger smile from Grune, and she keeps it up. After a while, she might scritch slightly behind his ears. Cats like that, right?]

[Yes, yes they do. And even Ion!kitties like that, it seems. He leans against her hand and purrs some more. He's just going to forget himself for awhile and enjoy this. After a month with the Malnosso, the comfort is appreciated.]

[Grune is just going to sit here, petting the adorable kitty.

After a while, though, her hand will slow in its movements as she gets distracted by a stray thought….]

[Ion notices the petting slowing down and wonders if perhaps there's something on her mind... it just seemed a bit of an odd thing, to just sit down and pet a stray cat for awhile, as if looking for a distraction. Of course, it's not like he has any way of asking. He'll have to settle for a small meow instead.]

[The meow brings her attention back to the present, and back she goes to scritching.

After a moment, she says:] My name's Grune. What's your name?


[OOC: "Grune" is derived from the German feminine form of the word "green." Do you think this would count…? >D]

[OOC: LET'S GO WITH IT. B)]

[Just as Grune asks her question, there's a poof of smoke and suddenly the kitten is gone. In it's place is Ion, now sporting a pair of dark green cat ears and a matching tail. He blinks a few times before speaking.]

...oh. I'm back to normal...?

[Grune just sort of blinks and lets her hand drop from Ion's head.]

Oh, hello.

[distressedude]

Hello. [Well, this was a little awkward. But that seemed to be the Malnosso's specialty when it came to their experiments, right?] I'm sorry if I surprised you. I didn't expect the effects to wear off so suddenly...

Oh, that's all right. [She looks around.] Hmm.... Can you see a kitten?

[distressedude]

[The ears on his head twitch a bit. Did she not realize...?]

Actually, the kitten you saw before was me. The Malnosso turned me into a cat.

[...it's strange how things like that aren't really considered strange here anymore.]

Oh, really? That must be fun!

[Grune...has an odd idea of what's fun.]

[Fun...? She looks so happy while saying it, it's almost enough to make him forget how awful it was walking all the way with such short little legs...]

I suppose that's one way of looking at it...

I didn't have the chance to introduce myself before. My name is Ion.

Oh, hello, Ion. That's a nice name. [She smiles.] My name is Grune! It's very nice to meet you.
