Kohan

Kohan has been Ion's best friend in Luceti for a pretty long time now. Ever since he learned he was a replica, he's felt a strong bond with him. It made him so happy to see Kohan pull himself out of the darkness and begin striding towards crafting a new identity for himself. He really looks up to Kohan in that regard, since throwing away his name isn't something Ion thinks he'd ever be able to do -- and he doesn't even have memories tying him down. Ion knows Kohan is stronger than he gives himself credit for.

But he does worry about him a lot. He doesn't talk about them too much, but Ion knows those memories of times that never happened plague him more than he'd admit. It almost makes him feel guilty for having so much trouble with his own identity and existence while knowing that Kohan has probably had it that much worse.

When they were paired up for Valentine's Day, although the feelings of love may have faded with the experiment, the only thing that never quite faded were the memories of the way Ion felt when they were together. And I'm not talking about the emotional ones -- it was with Kohan that Ion started to realize he was interested in more than just girls. And yes, those were the feelings other than friendship that Ion had for Kohan first -- though Ion often found himself confused or downright ashamed of himself for thinking of his friend in such a way.

But this past summer marked the start of a lot of changes for Ion's current relationships, and Kohan was no exception. After all, it was only in front of Kohan where Ion truly mourned the loss of his father figure here in Luceti, and even though there wasn't much Kohan could have done to comfort him at the time, just being there for him when he needed him was enough. At this point, Kohan pretty much won himself the Best Friend title.

BUT THEN CHRISTMAS EVE HAPPENED. Going off of those same feelings of attraction that Ion had been concealing for so long, tl;dr the loss of his inhibitions made him realize wow why hasn't he been kissing Kohan all this time?? Which wasn't half as confusing as the kiss good-bye, which basically started Ion on a whirlwind of thoughts and feelings and emotions that led him to the conclusion that he liked Kohan as more than a friend.

Of course, one thing to clarify is that Ion's feelings for Kohan, while strong, probably aren't as strong as the feelings he had for Anise way back when. But he doesn't see a need to distinguish one love from another love, so either way, he considers himself to be in love with Kohan.

Ion doesn't know what the future holds for the two of them here in Luceti, but right now, he's okay with that. After all, now that they have each other, they can venture down that road together.

Sanji

Sanji is someone who Ion really looks up to and respects. His advice has helped him out far more than Sanji probably even knows, whether it be in life or in love. And even though he doesn't know too much about Sanji personally, he's someone Ion feels he can talk to pretty easily about almost anything. He actually ranks pretty high up on his mental list of people to listen to when he needs advice, especially since Sanji doesn't really hold back when talking to people -- which no offense to Sanji kind of reminds Ion of Dist, if only because that's the kind of relationship they had before he was sent home.

If Sanji's not careful he's gonna end up with another replica seeing him as a father figure. Or at the very least, as a dependable big brother.

Luke Triton

Luke and Ion seem cursed to never really get off on the right foot. He was with Anise during that very confusing Valentine's Day, making Ion feel true jealousy for the first time in his life. Even knowing the feels weren't real, something still seemed to linger in the back of his mind that he couldn't quite place.

And then he had him kidnapped during a rather strange experiment, and now neither of them seem to know how to act around each other. He seems like such a nice boy... maybe they ought to try starting over?

Cliff Fittir

Cliff is one of the few people Ion met through Florian. He was training him in self-defense, something Ion can appreciate. Luceti isn't the safest place to live, after all, and he's thankful that Florian was able to remain surrounded by such kind people while he was here.

Ion has a lot to owe Cliff for saving his life during the invasion. Had he left Ion there after using his powers once, who knows what could have become of him. Ion really respects him, and sees him as someone he can look up to.

Freyjadour Falenas

Ion doesn't know Frey very well, but what he does know is that he's made Tear probably the happiest she's ever been in Luceti. He can see it in the way she smiles when he's around, and the honest way in which she talks about him. If he makes Tear happy, then he must be a very nice man.

Ventus

If anyone in Luceti has a strong heart, it's gotta be Ven. Nothing ever seems to get him down for longer than a moment, allowing him to look on the bright-side of just about anything. He doesn't dwell on sad thoughts, and inspires smiles wherever he goes. And as Kohan's only housemate, he likes to think that it's Ven who has had the greatest positive impact on Kohan throughout his stay in Luceti.

Perhaps someday the two of them can make a solid game plan for helping Kohan to make more friends.

Mia

Mia is one of those people who can really just make it seem like everything will be okay, even when it's clear it probably won't be. She was an absolute blessing to him when he was sick, helping not only in the diagnosis but also in providing the emotional support he needed when he was still too afraid to tell his friends what was going on. He would have been truly lost without her, and for that he owes her his life.
